Get it?!
Happy 8th Birthday Harrison!

The schools in our district have off today for Rosh Hashana, so Harrison brought in his birthday treat yesterday. I was happy to check out his classroom and meet his super sweet teacher.

This morning Harrison read clues and went on a hunt for his hidden birthday presents - among the loot were two DS Games, Lego Miners sets and Star Wars Trouble.

I told the boys I wanted to get a nice picture of them together...

When I asked Harrison what was the best thing that happened when he was 7, he was quick to answer "Having Graham" which seriously melted my heart into a gigantic puddle of mush. His goal for 8 is to learn to write in cursive.

We were supposed to head to an Adventure Farm in Lancaster today, but last night we checked the online calendar to see what time they opened, only to find out they were actually closed. We scrambled to think of a fun alternative and ended up at Dave and Buster's instead. I don't think Harrison was too disappointed ;)

We love you birthday boy! I know I say it every year - but thanks for making me a mom, it's the best gift ever!

Harrison is so GR8!
Love the pretzels and the cute brother pics. Those boys of yours are just so handsome and fun!
Oh, and H's comment about little Graham is too much. What a love!
ps. That dress is so lovely on you!
Harrison was special the day he was born. He becomes more special with each passing day. His comment about Graham is truly a melting into mush comment, but so Harrison. He is a gem.
Took me a minute to get the GR8 but yahoo, I got it.... he really is GREAT!!!!
Love, Mom
What a great birthday! Is he really 8 now? The pretzels were genius, you look amazing the the Two-Wheeler Shirtdress, and Harrison's comment about Graham made me melt, too.
Eeek! I can't believe he's 8! That means we have known eachother for a long time! What a fun birthday for your boy. I am in love with the pretzel idea - please share - did you make or buy them (please say you bought them). His comment about Graham melts my heart and I love the pic of the three of them on the chair - silliness and all. Glad he had a great birthday!
Monique - I absolutely bought the pretzels, I am a woman of few baking skills ;) Around here we have soft pretzel bakery's - and I just call and place a special order for them to be shaped like numbers. I've been doing them since Harrison was 5 - either as a birthday treat at school or for party favors, and all the kids love them! And they aren't expensive either, I pay 30 cents a pretzel making it like 9 bucks for his entire class.
Um seriously? Those pretzels are the cutest things ever. I'm pretty sure we have zero pretzel bakeries here but I do have a recipe...hmmmm...I love them.
Harrison is so handsome in his cute birthday shirt. It really doesn't seem like it could have been 8 years since you emailed me the picture of you nine months pregnant with him. Remember the one? LOL. Happy birthday Harrison. What a nice boy you are.
