first grade

You'll be glad to know, that stalking Target on a twice weekly basis did pay off in the end...I found my much coveted yellow and purple plastic folders with just days to spare!

Our teacher's gift didn't turn out nearly as cute as Andrea's original
but Ms. Malone will never know...

I'm also indebted to Hilary for "the sign" idea.

Jonathan went into work a little late this morning so that he could trek down to the bus stop with us.

And it was a long haul with all the heavy supplies to carry.

Plus, we needed someone there with us, because promptly after these bus doors closed behind him, Sawyer and I both burst into tears.

Luckily, Harrison was all smiles when he got on and off the bus! He had a great first day!!!

Love you, Harrison C. First Grader!!!

sweet!

On Wednesday we finally made it to Hershey Park. It was hot, crowded and an uphill walk to every ride. I was permanently affixed to the park benches (and sometimes the curb, if all the benches were full) so there are few pictures from the day, but I wanted to at least mention our last hurrah of the summer.

Bittersweet? Harrison starts FIRST GRADE on Monday!

got boys?

They will LOVE this movie.

Worth noting? The three brothers wearing Mini Boden were beyond adorable!
We have another week until school starts, if I had my hands on that wishing rock it would be sooner ;) Hopefully, we have enough things to keep us busy and the final days of summer will fly by!

not too little

Earlier this week I had the following conversation with Harrison

Harrison: MOM! Can we take Sawyer's training wheels off and teach him how to ride without them?
Me: Harrison, he's not ready for that. He's too little.
Harrison: No he's not!
Me: Harrison, you didn't ride without training wheels until you were five, Sawyer is only three!
Harrison: I KNOW he can!
Me: Do you want your brother to get hurt?
Harrison: (thinks) Maybe just a little bit....
Me: Harrison

Well, while I wasn't willing to risk Sawyer's elbows and knees to the pavement, it turns out Jonathan was. And while I was at the grocery store tonight, Harrison proved me wrong.

WOW! Way to go, Sawyer!!! He could not be prouder, and neither could we!

do you find things like this in your pantry?

Seriously.

I promise you, it is not a long walk to the trash can in my kitchen.
