Life. Imagine the Potential.

NBC has chosen not to air this commercial during the Super Bowl on Sunday, but I hope with news coverage, everyone sees it anyway! So powerful!

confessions

1. I think magazines in the bathroom are GROSS. SERIOUSLY. I married the right guy for me, because he always, always puts the seat down and never leaves reading material in the "library". Good man ;)

2. I love this top from White House Black Market

However, I'm torn about buying it, because I'd like to be preggers by Spring/Summer. I have actually thrown superstition to the wind and have bought a few Gap maternity pieces on clearance - they were practically giving things away after Christmas...I feel really ridiculous about this.

3. I bought the new Taylor Swift CD. I sing along. #5 White Horse, that's my fave. I feel rather ridiculous about this too, especially when "15" comes on...

4. I coveted my neighbors earrings. Actually, it was another mom from Sawyer's music class. I couldn't get the picture of them out of my head. I finally asked her where they were from and she said they were knockoffs of Me&Ro that she bought at Target three years ago. Well, that didn't help me much! Finally, after many Google searches, I found my match on Etsy. The originals on the left retail for $365. My version were less then $50! Jonathan says I shouldn't wear them because she'll think I'm a stalker.

5. Vanity. Since turning 30 I have become a bit obsessed with reducing the signs of aging and achieving a youthful glow. I've spent entirely too much at the MAC counter. My favorite finds to date:

Mineralize Skinfinish in So Ceylon
Powder Blush in Trace Gold
Lustreglass in Love Nectar
Eyeshadow in Woodwinked

What about you? Any deep secrets or beauty secrets you care to share?

if only i had a ukelele

or a unicorn then maybe I wouldn't have an ulcer from thinking up 5 "U" words to include in the letter bag sent home from school with Harrison today. We finally scraped together five items (umbrella, undershirt, picture of an uncle, coloring page of an umpire, and an up arrow) but it was close, I thought for a minute we might have to send Sawyer in as an urchin.

Here's an uh-oh:

I noticed while entertaining over the holidays that we really needed more glasses, and ordered these cute old school ones from Crate and Barrel.

Let me just tell you that it won't be necessary to say "use both hands" when kids come over because these puppies are huge and picking them up with one hand is going to be a stretch, even for the adults. I probably should have shopped for the glasses in person. U live and U learn.

winter break

*figuring out our new scanner

*Took the boys to the movies to see Tales of Desperaux.

*Went bowling with a couple of Harrison's buddies from school. Sawyer decided to forgo using the 7 pound ball and opted for an 11 pounder instead - which he threw down the lane without any assistance and used as his secret weapon to beat everyone with his score of 88.

*Confirmed the fact that we really do have the best neighbors ever! The Henning's have 3 daughters, with 3 big muscled boyfriends who they sent right over to upright our swingset when it toppled in the 50mph winds. cRaZy!
