sleepover hangover

Last night I hosted a pre-teen slumber party for the girls in my Sunday School class. I had my hair braided, judged lip synch routines and ate Doritos into the midnight hours. I am exhausted. And thankful for sons who hopefully come with a lot less drama when they reach this age...

Of course, with boys you can't rent Kit Kittridge, or expect a massage and pedicure, so I guess it's a trade off.

What is Kit Kittridge???? I must be getting old, cause I have no idea what he or she is. Let me tell you.... girls are sure drama, but you just wait, my dear... boys are, well .... I'll just let you find out for yourself.
Who love you baby?
Your adoring Mom

It took me a minute to find you in the picture. :) I am sure that the girls had such a fun time with you! Who wouldn't?

Jan - you are so so wonderful! What a priceless undertaking. And what a super fun sleepover! Your relationship will affect those girls forever!

(This past weekend, we spoke at our church's youth retreat: sleeping in cabins, eating like teenagers, etc. Both Ryan and I were UTTERLY WASTED afterward. I had a stiff neck, sore throat, etc. Both of us CONKED OUT. Our conclusion? "WE ARE NOT TEENAGERS ANY MORE!!")
