if only i had a ukelele

or a unicorn then maybe I wouldn't have an ulcer from thinking up 5 "U" words to include in the letter bag sent home from school with Harrison today. We finally scraped together five items (umbrella, undershirt, picture of an uncle, coloring page of an umpire, and an up arrow) but it was close, I thought for a minute we might have to send Sawyer in as an urchin.

Here's an uh-oh:

I noticed while entertaining over the holidays that we really needed more glasses, and ordered these cute old school ones from Crate and Barrel.

Let me just tell you that it won't be necessary to say "use both hands" when kids come over because these puppies are huge and picking them up with one hand is going to be a stretch, even for the adults. I probably should have shopped for the glasses in person. U live and U learn.

Oh, that would have been tough! Hey at least it wasn't "x." ;)

Love the glasses. Let me tell you, when I entertain more than 5 people I have to break out the mismatched plastic restaurant cups. I need another wedding reception to replenish me kitchen, alot of things bite the dust after 11 years, lol.

Haha! The word verification I had to type in was "crack". Just thought I'd share. Kinda funny, no?

Patrick has sharing each week at preschool, each week is a different letter. Every Friday morning I am running around the house looking for a G item or a K item. More work for mommy than child!

This cracks me up. Like Shannon, I'm always wracking my brain trying to come up with something for M to take to preschool show and tell. You should have seen me trying to find something for R this morning (pathetic). Thanks for the good U suggestions - you got very creative! And I love those glasses! I'm with Nicole, I need a lot of new stuff!

that reminds me of a game we used to play on car trips. its the alphabet plus a subject, like fruit for example. so a is for apple, b is for banana, you get the idea. well, u was ALWAYS ugly fruit. and according to my mother it is real, yet i have never seen it in a store. so if only you had some ugly fruit hanging around, voila, instance grab and go for school. :)
