easter 2009

Our Easter was quiet and cold! Now that Harrison has outgrown Baby Gap pajamas, and Hanna Andersson has converted to constricting fabric, my options for Easter morning are limited. When I pulled these numbers out last night, both my boys collapsed into tears "but I'm FREEZING!" Harrison whined. Sawyer tried unsuccessfully to yank his sleeves past his elbows.

In the morning they were equally unhappy with the attire I had selected "A sweater! Why do I have to wear a sweater? I hate sweaters" Harrison protested. I tried explaining that it was merely a vest. But it didn't matter.
Can I take it off after church?
At grandmom and grandpops?
In the car?

This year we celebrated with Jonathan's parents in Lancaster. His sister Linda was able to join us in time for dessert. It felt very quiet for a holiday!

And now, I'm off to rifle through through the candy. HAPPY EASTER!!!

your short-sleeve-jammies-sweater-vest wearing boys are, as always, simply adorable. baby #3 has high expectations to live up to! but i'm sure jelly bean is going to be scoring off the cuteness charts. :)

Yay for the color coordinated baskets. Seriously, that was such a fun idea - I hope they do it again. Your boys look like perfect gentlemen in their outfits. And I love the pj drama - too funny! You are so adorable too. I loved that pic of you and J that you posted on Facebook. Oh, and I'm so glad you love your bunnies - aren't they so cute?!

Love it! Did you let them take off the vests? My girls froze here in Alabama but they wore the dresses and I, being the bad mommy that I am, forgot to wash the nice white sweaters and made them wear their new sandals! It was warmer after church!

I'm so glad you forced the matching sweaters upon your boys-- I count on you for being equally neurotic about cute Easter clothes!

I'm writing to you from the Apple store while my baby gets repaired. ;)

I am kicking myself fifty times for not going the sweater vest route this year. Your boys look so festive and sooooo handsome. I love them. Can't wait til bebe is in the mix too.
