You'll be glad to know, that stalking Target on a twice weekly basis did pay off in the end...I found my much coveted yellow and purple plastic folders with just days to spare!

Our teacher's gift didn't turn out nearly as cute as
Andrea's original
but Ms. Malone will never know...

I'm also indebted to Hilary for "the sign" idea.

Jonathan went into work a little late this morning so that he could trek down to the bus stop with us.

And it was a long haul with all the heavy supplies to carry.

Plus, we needed someone there with us, because promptly after these bus doors closed behind him, Sawyer and I both burst into tears.

Luckily, Harrison was all smiles when he got on
and off the bus! He had a great first day!!!
Love you, Harrison C. First Grader!!!

ooh, first grade is a big deal. A very big deal. Wish I'd documented my oldest boy's first day as well as you did! Now he's a senior!
Happy first day to all of you! Harrison looks so old with that missing tooth. your gift it TOTALLY cute. It looks like he was totally confident on his first day. How did Sawyer hold up yesterday without him? How can our boys be growing up so fast?
This is wonderful! I was looking forward to seeing your teacher's gift this year: you are amazing. Is there a trick to that pencil cake??
You are awesome for doing the pencil cake. Me and frosting, we don't do so great together!! LOL!
Your gift is DARLING... and yay for signs. It looks cute and documents at the same time!
Love the pictures. He looks so tiny/big at the same time!
sooooo cute! Love, love how the bucket turned out. And the cake. Sigh. Love it.
Look at your big boy! He looks so confident. Could he be any more handsome?
The pencil cake is too much. You are an over-achiever, and I love it. :)
Oh, he is so handsome! I'm glad Harrison had a great first day! Loving the teacher gift!
Your pencil cake is phenomenal! I *almost* attempted making one this year, but like Hilary, I don't do well with frosting.
