I am literally swooning. Your house is gorgeous. The purple mums and white pumpkins look absolutely striking. It's just so New England. sigh....
I have sworn off hay bales the last few years because I hate the clean-up. It's in my flower beds for months afterward. But, your lovely front porch is melting my resolve just a little bit. But then you mentioned vacuuming out your trunk.... Yep. I am definitely too lazy for hay bales and corn stalks. I will just have to be happy coveting yours. Maybe I'll make this picture my October screen saver. Is that creepy/stalkerish? ;)
Your house looks amazing. I thank you for the ideas as I've noticed all the neighbors here are decorating. I'm still unpacking and must get to the outside decor myself.
Jan, LOL...I want the topiary story! Your house looks beautiful. It is SO you and that makes me very happy. I still haven't got anything up but the wreath on my door. Middle of summer weather does little to inspire me. I wish I could come visit.
Oh, this look so beautiful! I love the corn stalks and how you placed them. The flowers are gorg, too. I have always wanted to put hay out on my porch, but at my old house I had mice, and our new house has a farm/fields in back of it, so I just know mice would be coming out of the wood works and ruin everything. Sigh.
GORGEOUS Jan! Your porch just looks perfect and I can just imagine all the fun you're having back there with the fabulous season. Your house is soooo pretty! Yep, heat pretty much suggs.

Janet, the house decorations look awesome. It will be Halloween before you know it. Can't wait to see the kids costumes.

It looks SO pretty, Jan! (No topiaries?) Love your flowers and the corn stalks... perfection. And in general, could your house be any prettier???

Hilary - stay tuned for topiaries...my true confession is that the lady at AC MOore is assembing them for me. Oh the shame.

I love it! It looks like the cover of a magazine! I'm with Andrea, the heat is uninspiring.
