ten things on thursday

1. When the mail came this week, it was the best of times, it was the worst of times. The good news? Harrison got AM Kindergarten! Super happy about that!

2. The bad news? The yellow grainy leather tote I ordered from Boden's sale was actually out of stock and not able to ship. I'm coping though. Moving on. In fact, I think I'm going to set my sights on a cute silver bag instead...one like Nicole's

3. Speaking of cute things on other people's blogs - I ordered some red beads after seeing them on Hilary's. Mine are more traditional, but omigosh, I L-O-V-E them, I want to wear them every day.

4. Not so cute? Food storage friends should look away...here is a picture of my bare bones pantry. While I was "blog jogging" I noticed someone was challenging a pantry purge, so I thought I'd tidy mine and take a picture. I wish I had cuter baskets, but these are fantastically easy to wipe if anything spills.

5. On Monday, I received this email from Jonathan. It was The Worst of Times II.
Jan, In looking at my calendar for the week, I have a finance meeting tonight. I have the funeral tomorrow night. And I have a board meeting on Thursday.

6. And just when I thought emails couldn't get any worse then that, I got some nastygram from a woman on Good Reads. ON GOOD READS. You know, the book review website. I have NO idea who Bonna is, or what bee she has in her bonnet, but sheeesh! I honestly, share my reviews for my FRIENDS, I wasn't trying to enter a deep, critical conversation on this (boring!) (there, I said it again!) novel.

7. I'm glad I have this guy around to make me smile after I finish checking email

8. We are in our 3rd week of swim lessons, and watching Harrison improve on his backstroke makes me smile too.

9. I got my haircut this week, and spent entirely too much on hair products I'll never use correctly. Someone should write a book - Root Pump for Dummies, that would be a Good Read.

10. I also had a little splurge at Old Navy. I walked around the store, turning things over, wondering...could I wear my new red beads with that?

Janet, I must agree, the red beads are very cool, they look great on you especially with your wonderful tan. The picture of Sawyer is just the cutest, he is quite a character! I'm so proud of Harrison and his swimming talents, remember the other day when he said that he would try to teach me to swim when he was a teenager, how cute was that! Brian and I are really looking forward to watching the boys on Saturday night, that will give you a nice break from this very long week.
Love,
Mom

Oh Jan, you make me laugh!

Your pantry looks fabulously clean & organized.

I love the beads, and once again am lamenting the private status of Hilary's blog. I am confident that I am totally missing out!

The good reads lady needs to get a life...

Yay for AM kindergarten, and new silver purses!

Thanks for stopping by my blog, it's always nice to "meet" new people! :)

First off, I love your new blog design...and the term "blog jogging". That's probably the only jogging I'll ever do in my lifetime! Also, that woman WAS unjustified in giving you her opinion. Sheesh, some people have nothing better to do than THAT?! ;o) Cute picture of Sawyer too! :o)

2. Love the beads!
3. What is Sawyer wearing? Too cute!
4. Your pantry could kick my pantry's behind. Where is that neat gene in me?
5. What kind of hair products are you using? And what happened to the bangs?

First of all, I LOVE Sawyer. That is the cutest picture ever. XOXOXO him for me please! And I love the red beads - I'll be so sad if chunky fun jewelry goes out of style. Sorry about the purse, I hate that! And Yay for AM kindy. And your pantry is so well organized and adorable totes!
